What’s the difference between a private key and a seed phrase?

A private key is per account, whereas the seed phrase is per wallet, used to generate all private keys in the account.

Hence you cannot restore all accounts if you have only 1 key. (note that Braavos currently does not support importing of a single private key, only 12-word seed phrase).
