How to receive Bitcoin in Braavos from Kraken?

This guide walks you through the process of sending Bitcoin (BTC) from your Kraken account to your Braavos wallet, whether you’re using mobile or desktop.

How to receive Bitcoin in Braavos from Kraken?

Here’s how to withdraw Bitcoin from Kraken to your Braavos wallet.

Mobile

  1. Open the Kraken app, sign in and tap More
  1. Then select Withdraw.
  1. Choose Bitcoin (BTC) from the asset list.
  2. Tap Add new address.
  1. Select the Bitcoin network.


    Braavos only accepts native BTC transfers.

  2. Open your Braavos wallet, tap Receive, and copy your BTC address.
  1. Paste the address into Kraken and follow the instructions to add it.
  2. Once confirmed, select the address and enter the amount of BTC you want to send.
  3. Tap Review.
  4. Double-check the transaction details, then Swipe to withdraw.

The transaction will be broadcast and your BTC will arrive in Braavos after network confirmations.

Desktop

  1. Log into your Kraken account at kraken.com.
  2. Click Withdraw click the Withdraw button on the home page.
  3. Select Bitcoin (BTC) from the list and choose the Bitcoin network.




    Only native Bitcoin is supported in Braavos.

  4. Add your Bitcoin address.
  5. a) Give the address a name (optional), b) paste your Braavos BTC address, and c) click Add withdrawal address.


    To find your Braavos address, open the wallet and tap Receive.
  1. Once the address is approved, enter the amount of BTC you want to withdraw.

  2. Click Withdraw BTC.
  3. Review the details carefully and click Confirm withdrawal.

Your BTC will be transferred to Braavos and should appear shortly after the transaction is confirmed on the Bitcoin network.

How to Get Your Braavos BTC Address for CEX Withdrawals?

When withdrawing to Braavos, always select the Bitcoin (BTC) network using a Native SegWit address (bech32 format starting with “bc1”).

Other options are not supported. Using an unsupported network can lead to permanent loss of funds.

To receive your address, tap the Receive button in Braavos and copy your Bitcoin Native SegWit address.
